Perfect match between accessibility and technology
Centas and Paralife – a partnership for accessibility and technology
Nacka- It is with great pride and enthusiasm that we at Centas have had the privilege of partnering with Paralife, a pioneer in sports, work and community for people with disabilities. Our journey together began when we were given the opportunity to install the conference equipment required to meet today’s technology needs.
Founded in March 2022, Paralife has a simple but powerful vision: to create a society where everyone, regardless of disability, has the same opportunity to dream and achieve their goals.
Centas and Paralife – a perfect match
Our passion for technology and innovation matched Paralife’s vision of accessibility and equal opportunities. Together, we worked to create a conference environment that is not only technologically advanced but also inviting and accessible to all.
The sports café in Nacka, Paralife opened in June 2023, is more than just a meeting place. It is a symbol of community, strength and inclusion. Here you can enjoy a cup of coffee while watching para-sport broadcasts or attend a meeting in the state-of-the-art conference rooms that we at Centas have equipped.
An interview with founder Hilde
Hilde, the founder of Paralife, explains how the idea was born:
“The idea for Paralife grew out of my desire for everyone to have equal opportunities in work and sport. I lacked visible role models in the service industry and para-sport.”
Hilde also talks about the unique sports theme:
“I was active in sports myself growing up in Norway (alpine skiing). Through Paralife, I want to create strong role models in para-sport. On our walls and TV screens, all athletes will have a place. All our profits will go to Para sport in Sweden.”
New era for para-sport
With Paralife, a new era is dawning where para-athletes and youth with disabilities get the resources and attention they deserve. Centas is proud to be part of this change, by providing Paralife with the technology needed to make their vision a reality.
Visit Paralife in Nacka in June and see for yourself how Centas and Paralife are working together to create a place that is truly for everyone.

Living with a disability – a reality with challenges
Living with a disability can be a complex and challenging reality. From small everyday obstacles to large structural barriers, people with disabilities often face a multitude of challenges that others do not have to think about. The labor market can be particularly tough, where discrimination and prejudice can limit employment and career development opportunities.
That’s why we’re particularly happy when we work with clients like Paralife, who are truly working for change. They are taking concrete steps to improve the lives of people with disabilities, not just in words but also in deeds.
The right to live independently and participate in society – Paralife’s path to change
Persons with disabilities have a fundamental right to live independently and participate in society on an equal basis with others. This includes choice of housing, access to community services and quality support. Laws such as the LSS and the Social Services Act reinforce these rights, and staff working in support and services face challenges every day that require knowledge and empathy to ensure these rights.
Paralife gives Isak a chance to show what he can do
During a visit for lunch, I had the opportunity to ask some quick questions to Isak Lindvall who works as a waiter.
How does it feel to be part of Paralife?
– It feels great to be part of Paralife. I appreciate that I can show the public that even if it sometimes takes a little more time for us with disabilities, we can still contribute and do a good job. I feel that Paralife gives me a platform to show what I can do.
What was life like before and after Paralife?
– Before joining Paralife, I found it difficult to find a job, especially in the restaurant industry because I am in a wheelchair. Paralife was my first job, and I had no previous work experience. Now I feel that I am really getting an insight into the world of work through this job.
What is the perception of disability?
– I feel that all of us at Paralife are unique but we learn to deal with our individual impairments. I really value the open dialog here. It feels like a place where we can all be ourselves, where we can speak freely, support each other and grow together.
Do you have a favorite para-sport?
– I especially like basketball and tennis, but have a particular fondness for basketball.
Do you have any advice for other young people with disabilities?
– My advice to others would be to never give up, whether it is to continue studying or to start working. Keep trying, whatever you are passionate about. Right now I feel very happy with the way things are and the fact that Paralife is so adapted for us with disabilities makes everything even better.

Paralife – a revolution in para-sport and working life
Paralife is not just a non-profit organization; it is a movement that wants to look beyond limitations and focus on opportunities. Founded in 2022, with a vision of an accessible society, Paralife strives to give children and young people with disabilities the same dreams and opportunities as others.
With its unique sports café, staffed exclusively by people with disabilities and dedicated to para-sport, Paralife is a shining example of what inclusion and engagement can look like in practice. All profits go to para-sport, and the sports café in Nacka is a meeting place open to everyone, regardless of disability.
But Paralife goes further than that. It is also actively working with employers and the sports community to increase accessibility and create strong role models in para-sport. By highlighting previously ignored achievements and fighting for equal pay for equal work, Paralife is at the forefront of a necessary change.
