From empty conference room to exclusive lounge
How do you actually create a lively, vibrant and cozy event environment? How do you go from an empty and cold room to something that could almost resemble a cozy living room?
Give me 2 minutes and I will tell you how we did in this case.
Our latest achievement involved an extensive 500 square meter conference room, which we transformed in just a few hours into an inviting and luxurious event lounge – a clear demonstration of how technical expertise can enhance the experience.
Early Sunday morning:
Work started early in the morning with planning and setting up the necessary infrastructure. Our team of experienced technicians and designers quickly set to work rigging and designing the layout of the room, running cables and preparing the hanging of projectors and lights.
The stage:
The heart of the room was a 12 x 2 meter stage, covered with an elegant black carpet that provided a strong visual contrast to the room’s more colorful surroundings. The stage served as a central point for presentations and performances
Backdrop and Imaging:
Behind the stage, a backdrop constructed of beMatrix frames, measuring 12 x 4 meters, was set up. This backdrop served not only as an aesthetic background but also as a huge movie screen. Built-in 3-meter windows in the fabric acted as screens for our Barco projectors, enhancing the visual experience for the participants. I have to admit that this is the first time we used an integrated screen in the backdrop and it turned out really well.
Furnishing and atmosphere:
To create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, we furnished the room with 70 2-seater sofas and 35 armchairs, strategically placed to give the best possible sight lines to the stage. The room was divided into groups of 12 people, allowing for a combination of talks and interaction at the stage as well as workshops. This layout transformed the room into a cozy lounge environment, perfect for both informal conversations and focused listening.
Image and light:
Two projectors delivered images, presentations, videos and speakers remotely. For lighting installations, we used Fresnel, ETC and Astera which together created an inviting and adaptable lighting that could be effectively varied to match the different phases of the event.
The result:
A giant living room with room for 175 guests.
